Found something?

If you think you have found something of archaeological significance in Edinburgh and the Lothians, you are obliged by law to report it to Treasure Trove.

The role of Treasure Trove is to ensure that objects of cultural significance from Scotland’s past are protected for the benefit of the nation and preserved in museums across the country.

The City of Edinburgh Council Archaeology Service is a member of Association of Local Authority Archaeology Officers (ALGAO: UK), which provides a UK wide forum representing archaeologists working for local authorities and national parks employed by local authorities to provide advice on archaeological conservation and management.
