Braidburn Valley Park, Dogs
Catharine Davison’s practice is founded upon the ‘plein air’ tradition, drawing and painting directly from source. She has always had a fascination for looking intensely at the physical world and a compulsion to explore this experience by making pictures. Inspired by her love of dogs and dog walking in Edinburgh’s parks and hills, ‘Braidburn Valley Park, Dogs’ is one of a recent series, a triptych which was made in three sittings along different stretches of the Braid Burn.
