This lecture will look at a brief history of Penicuik Estate since it was acquired by the Clerk family in 1654, the building, destruction by fire of the Palladian Penicuik House and subsequent consolidation of the ruin, followed by a glimpse of plans for the future development of the Estate in the hands of the current younger generation of the Clerk family.
