This exhibition showcases the Kinship Captured Project run by the City of Edinburgh Council’s Kinship Care team. The project uses photography to explore kinship stories and experiences to promote kinship connections, exploring what ‘wellbeing’ means in the kinship context.

Five Kinship Carers have participated in the ongoing project, creating photo journals that examine the journeys they have been on. This has given them the opportunity to learn new skills and share existing ones, as well as build confidence and enduring relationships with other Kinship Carers.

The exhibition presents a selection of photographs chosen by each Kinship Carer along with a short film about the project. It coincides with Kinship Care Week, 17-21 March 2025.

Some of the Kinship Carers are sharing their photo journals in the exhibition.
