Join us for a special digital performance with Edinburgh Living History. ELH have written and will perform this special piece to celebrate International Women's Day 2021.
It is 1913 and over the last year the Suffragettes have been employing more militant tactics in order to gain publicity for their campaign for Votes for Women. A reporter from the Scotsman newspaper is interviewing a group of Edinburgh residents to discuss the background to the women’s suffrage campaign in general and to gather opinions about the recent militant attacks in the city.
Step back to the year 1913 with us.
This will stream on the Lauriston Castle Facebook page so no need to book in advance.
