Lecture: The Japan/Glasgow Connection
Dr Saeko Yazaki discusses the vibrant intellectual and cultural exchange between Japan and Glasgow in the 1870s, ranging from the Forth Rail Bridge and shipbuilding to whisky and Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Dr Saeko Yazaki is a lecturer in Religious Studies at the University of Glasgow, with interests in Islam, Muslim-Jewish relations and Japanese traditions.
