1.30pm - 3.30pm
We will make characters from recycled materials to share stories and folklore about nature, the weather, and the landscape. This is a workshop for children and their families to make creatures inspired by the exhibition 'Nature Nurture'. The aim of the workshop is to make folktale characters that represent either helpful or hindering aspects of nature such as tree sprites, storm-monsters and magical animals. You can even invent your own nature-inspired character!
Katie Forrester is a senior lecturer in illustration and has exhibited work nationally and held the position of Artist in Residence with Scotland’s Early Literature for Children Initiative (SELCIE).
Free and drop-in in the museum garden courtyard. Please note the location of this event is Museum of Edinburgh.
