Exploring the tale of Greyfriars Bobby is a tradition in itself, with a great many claiming to know the 'true story'. Dave Robb presents a version which draws on his experience as a tourist, then student, then tour guide in Edinburgh - a city that's renowned for drama and romance, and sometimes a victim of its own success.
John Traill's coffee house is struggling thanks to stiff competition and endless roadworks. It will take a miracle to save him from bankruptcy, and one might have just wandered into the graveyard next door, nosing for scraps. He just needs to convince the groundskeeper to help him spin the ultimate shaggy dog story ...
